Kristen Kennedy, PECHS 2013 Alumnus

My name is Kristen Kennedy and when I started my high school journey, I was in a rough spot. I was 15 years old, pregnant, and a year behind in high school. I began attending Panola Early College High School when I had my son at 16 years old and was a year behind. With the help of Panola Schools, I was able to not only catch up to my class, but I was able to surpass my class and I graduated a year early from Panola Early College High School in 2013. Because of Panola Schools and the opportunities that they offer, I was able to earn my high school diploma while also obtaining my Associates of Science at the same time. I would not be where I am today without this school. They provided me with every opportunity for success that a high school could possibly offer and more. I am now a UT Tyler college graduate with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at 21 years old. I am beginning my first position as a nurse in the ICU at Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview. I would not be the person that I am today without this school. They not only provided me with every opportunity to succeed, but they also were there for me as a mentor the entire way. Panola Schools truly cares for each of its students and this school holds a special place in my heart.
