Panola Early College High School has been an extreme blessing in my life. For someone like me who wants a challenge, it allowed me to start early on in my career. From the beginning, I was allowed to take college-level classes, which put me as a sophomore at Panola College. The educators and staff show an unparalleled interest in the success of the students. They provide skills needed to excel in higher education. In all the courses I've taken, one of the most important things I've learned is this: easier does not always mean better. PECHS taught me how to be devoted to studying and improving my academic skills through what seemed like an unending mountain of work at times. During my time at PECHS Mrs. Tarjick was the instructor, I'm mentioning her because if it wasn't for her I wouldn't be this far ahead in college. When Mrs. T notices talent within her students, she works hard to help them improve. She encourages all students to try and reach high goals and never settle for less. She goes out of her way to help all her students from her older ones to the new ones. While doing so she shows so much love and compassion because she wants to see success in all her students. As a former student, I am constantly amazed by the love I received and the knowledge that I have gained that far transcends the classroom. The opportunities I was given at Panola Early College High School are more than I could ever imagine. I have not only been allowed the opportunity to be a young adult and make decisions on my own but I've been shown how important it is to do my part to Pursue Excellence by Creating Higher Standards for my Future and Success. At PECHS I have created relationships and participated in many events that will forever change and inspire my life. Thank you to the teachers and staff for this amazing experience and education. To the amazing PECHS students of each year, remember ANY person can make a difference, ANY person can spark a positive change and ANY person can ignite a fire that can illuminate the world. All it takes is FAITH and COURAGE and most of all DREAMING BIG with the help of our Lord Jesus Christ!
